I did less knitting in 2022 than in previous years. I can't pinpoint any specific reason, I have just slowed down. The standard blankets take longer than before, and I haven't taken up any other knitting projects. I am still working through my spreadsheets, and that is still satisfying. A few years ago I started with my spreadsheet of charity shop purchases; now I am alternating with the second spreadsheet of yarn shop purchases. Since these second were more expensive I do more complex patterns so they take longer, but I have only completed one, so it won't affect the figures.
I am still enjoying the knitting, and crochet, and that is the most important thing.
The total yarn used up in 2022 came to 26.5 kg, less than in previous years, but still more than five years ago.
But I have reverted to my practice of buying a lot of yarn. As the yarn store gets smaller I allow myself to restock it. Not a good idea!! And I didn't buy anything particularly noteworthy. The pictures show a lot of old Rowan DK wool, presumably from kits, and another of 20 hanks of Colinette Banyan, a cotton viscose mix. The first will go into standard blankets. The second probably to a crochet blanket although the colour is not inspiring.
