Account for 2021

There was more lockdown last year, and my knitting continued along the same lines as the previous year.  More standard blankets, more chunky ones and a few crocheted.  I was surprised to find when I added them all up that I had used up over 31 kg, 3 kg more than the two years before.  It feels good, I feel have have made progress in reducing the amount of chunky yarn that I have got.

With charity shop closed there were fewer opportunities to buy more wool.  These are three lots that I did come across.  The 13 hanks of West Yorkshire Spinners Bo-Peep I should not have bought as they are likely to go straight into standard blankets.  I bought Habu because they are unusual but difficult to find a use for.  And I can't resist Noro so I bought the 11 balls of Kama.

I even grew tired of buying the expensive hand dyed yarn.  Instead I bought five balls of Rowan Cashmere Haze in the sale.

In 2022 I will continue along the same lines.  I find garments slow knitting.  The sweater I started last April is still on the needles.  Patterns are interesting but really I like the simple knitting I can do in front of a box set.
